Just returned

I have finally got round to setting up this blog after a few days away in the van.
I had booked a photography course. As it was some distance from home I went in the van and stayed at a campsite near by.  It was a wonderful few days chiefly because the weather was so good. I was able to unwind and do some walking.
Not everything was good (as is often the case),
I had just spent a considerable amount fixing a leak. As water was coming under the shower door both the engineer and I thought it was coming from the shower or toilet. He took everything out but could not find anything. Anyway to cut a long story short (but not the bill) it finally transpired that it was the water tank. The pipe from it to the system had cracked. This had obviously happened some time ago, (as in years), as the shelf that it was on was severly water damaged causing the tank to tilt. Hoping that everything was now A-okay I went away to test the repaired system.  All was well except that now I could not get any water from the tap in the bathroom sink.  I assume the pump has gone. A matter to be resoved once I was back home.
The proximity of Gatwick airport brought home to me as nothing else could just how many planes use the airport but more significantly how intrusive they are.  Although we were some distance away we were obviously on the approaching flight path as they were passing overhead coming in to land. What a noise they made. I cannot hear very well but even so I found it unpleasant.  I feel really sorry for all the communities in the vicinity of any airport.
