A Difficult TIme

The past few weeks have been extremely distressful, as expected, which is why there has not been a new post for some time. This one will be short as motorhoming activity has been last thing on my mind.  I have not even read any of my magazines let alone contemplate which part of the country to explore.
Considering how ill Ruby was when we first took her to the vet we were all surprised that not only did she manage to pull through the weekend, but the medication she was perscribed worked wonders and by the Monday she improved significantly. She started eating, began wagging her tail and even wanted to go walking.
When she did go out she was very slow and could only manage a short distance. At least this was a huge improvement. That she is still with us is truly amazing. We do not know for how long, but with the vet only perscribing her medication for a week at a time we know what is going to happen soon.
Ruby's illness makes going away in the van problematical.
I do not know if she would be happy going to a new place or would prefer pottering around familiar places. Additionally if I take her away I would not feel right leaving her alone in the motorohome whilst I am out with Amber. I would need to do this as Amber, being younger and fitter needs more exercise than Ruby now does.
What to do? This situation has definitely placed me on the horns of a dilemma.
